USING PRESENT PARTICIPALE

The present participle is placed before the noun to make two sentences into one sentence. But there are a few things to keep in mind.

1.Two tasks must occur simultaneously.

2. The subject of those two sentences will be different.

Example:

# I saw a flower. The flower was blooming.

I saw a blooming flower.

In the example sentence, the noun is Flower and the participle is “Blooming”. Two things are happening at the same time. The subject of the two sentences is also different. So Joining has been done by putting Participle before Noun.

More examples of joining:

# The boy was drawing a picture. I saw him.

I saw the boy drawing a picture.

# They heard his brother. He was telling the words.

They heard his brother telling the words.

# We noticed the child. It was crying.

We noticed the child crying.

If we notice that the subject has completed one task and completed another task, The task that will be completed first is to add “ing” with the main verb of the sentence with a comma at the end of the sentence and the second sentence will be written. However, in this case, the subject of both sentences must be the same.

And if the verb of the sentence is “BE Verb”, then “Being” has to be used.

Example of Joining or Synthesis of sentences:

# We went to Kolkata. We visited Victoria Memorial.

Going to Kolkata, we visited Victoria Memorial.

# He was tired. He took a rest for a while.

Being tired, he took a rest for a while.

The first task in the sentence is to go to Calcutta and the second task is to visit Victoria. The subject of both sentences is the same. The “Ing” is added to the main verb of the first sentence, a comma has been given, and the second sentence has been written.
